Thanks to everyone who made it out to the first photography meeting. With the help of Jim, he came up with our group name. Josh is working on our logo and will have it ready for our next meeting to view. Tonight we discussed what we should be expecting from this group of talented photographers. Our meetings will be twice a month on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at the home of Chris & Francine. Most meeting should last two hours. Next meeting is February 12th at 7pm. A typical agenda for a Field Trip day is

* Gather at a common meeting place to share rides and to mix new members or visitors
* Travel by vehicle to the destination, and photograph for 3 to 4 hours after which we adjourn for lunch and a pleasant social time together at a reserved restaurant. We sometimes may extend the day depending on the subject matter and/or the desire of those who wish to do so. Most trips start early and end by mid-day.

The trips go rain or shine, as weather conditions may be different at the intended destination so please don’t make a hasty decision. It is also good to learn to photograph in all types of weather. Fun and fellowship can be had no matter the weather.
We hope to see you come out and enjoy our trips. It is the best way to really get to know your fellow members.

Next Meeting: February 12th, 2008 7:00pm

Next meeting we will be discussing camera metering, photoshop actions and layers. Bring lap tops if you have photoshop, cameras and your camera manuals. We will also decide on our next field trip. If everyone can send in your ideas where we could go and also consider the weather. Jim had some awesome ideas and maybe we can work on those and plan a couple months ahead. Most of our field trips will take place once a month on Sunday Mornings.
